Job Description

An exciting 8-week paid Internship experience awaits! Gain real-life experience into the world of Enterprise Risk Management Captive Insurance. You will work within a high-energy, fast-paced environment that is both competitive and fun. This role will afford the opportunity to work with our Captive Insurance Group in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area for Summer, 2019. This is an exciting opportunity since you will experience the fundamentals of the sales, marketing, and operations of a captive insurance program for one of the nation’s leaders in enterprise risk management captive solutions.

 You will:

  • Gain an opportunity to have practical, real-world experience with private insurance solutions. 
  • Receive targeted business and technical training with a greater understanding of our broader industry
  • Engage with Risk Management Consultant Team members and be assigned specific tasks relating to the advancement of captive solutions for the advisor community.
  • Shadow Team members on meetings with advisors and/or clients in person or via conference calls.
  • Work with Team Members and others to learn about our private insurance solutions and how our work impacts mid-market private business owners (underwriting, renewals, case management, claims, etc.).  
  • Be assigned a dedicated Internship Mentor during your Internship experience
  • Learn about our industry and attend Virtual Seminars for knowledge exposure to some of our practices (Cyber, Private Client, Fine Arts, Entertainment etc.)
  • Engage with HR for Mentoring Sessions (Creating/Updating Your LinkedIn profile, Interviewing Best Practices, Resume Writing, Job Search tips etc.)


Job Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be a Rising Senior (Anticipated Graduation 5/20)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher (Transcript Required prior to in-person interview)
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Finance, Risk Management or Economics (previous insurance internship experience may be considered in lieu of)
  • Must be available to interview in-person at the local hosting office 
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
