You will be:

  • Responsible for servicing a commercial book of business- marketing, underwriting, servicing, renewal negotiation, risk analysis, consulting, problem resolution, reviewing and rating
  • Asked to maintain productive business relations and engage in extensive contact with clients, producers and underwriters
  • Ensuring that clients have continuous and proper coverage and advise client of any change recommendations
  • Responsible for Assistant Account Manager workflows if applicable, such as computer inputting and general policy servicing. May direct assistant to perform at higher levels, such preparing specifications, meeting clients and interacting insurance carriers
  • Actively reviewing current policies and provide recommendations regarding placement options. Utilize coverage checklist and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiums
  • Rounding out and cross selling book of business to reach agency/department growth goals

 

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 7+ years of commercial brokerage experience servicing accounts
  • Valid P&C brokers’ license
  • CPCU or ARM Designation Preferred
  • A developing knowledge of commercial insurance markets to place new/renewal business
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
